O-JOE Coffee

Kenya AA Grade

Kenya AA Grade

Because of a unique grading system launched after the British transferred control over coffee to the Kenyan people in the 1950s, Kenyan coffee is known for high quality production. Quite a bit of Kenya coffees are grown by smallholders, so one of the ways  for those farmers to get their coffee to market is to submit their lots to a central washing station where their beans are mixed with several hundred other farmers with small, high quality lots and then sold to roasters all over the world.  This particular lot of AA Grade beans will give you bright notes of dried cherry and raisins, with a flavourful medium body.

This is one of our only coffees that is not certified organic or RainForest Alliance®, but quality of the bean and the taste profile make this worth roasting for our customers to enjoy!

Altitude: Above 1600 meters
