REGIONAL + PRODUCER INFORMATION

Gahahe washing station is located in Kayanza province in Burundi, 1800 meters above sea level. Gahahe has over 1700 coffee producers, and producers are currently focusing on sorting and specific processing in order to improve the quality of the green as well as taste. After the coffee is depulped, it would take approximately 3 weeks to dry to 12%, and is then again carefully inspected at the dry mill with UV light. The washing stations are aiming to continue their focus on producing great coffee, as well as maintain progressive farming practices such as education on sustainability and social justice.
