CENFROCAFE is a cooperative that brings together more than 3000 families, associated in 84 bases, in 11 networks, in the Jaén, San Ignacio and Bagua Provinces. CENFROCAFE was founded in 1999 with 220 small-scale coffee farmers in eleven community-based associations. Becoming Fairtrade certified in 2007 solidified their goals of impact, social responsibility and environmental conservation. Over 90% of their production is organic, with the remainder in transition.
